Is it safe for cats too?
Yes. The rounded tips work just as gently on cats with medium to long coats. Start slow and let your cat adjust to the sensation.

Will it work on a short-haired dog?
The fine-tooth side works well on short coats to remove loose hair. The rake side is mainly for mats, so short-haired dogs get the most use out of the deshedding side.

How often should I use it?
Once or twice a week is plenty for most dogs. During heavy shedding seasons (spring and fall), you can use it more often.

Do I need to wash it?
Rinse the head with warm water and dry it with a towel. The stainless steel teeth are rust-resistant and stay sharp with regular cleaning.

How to use

• Step 1: Start with the rake side for mats and tangles. Work in short strokes from the outside of the mat inward.
• Step 2: Once mats are loosened, flip to the fine-tooth side.
• Step 3: Brush in the direction of fur growth to remove loose undercoat.
• Step 4: Wipe the brush clean between strokes. Reward your dog at the end.
